How to add a substitute in the line-up:

How to add a substitute in the line-up:

In Tenniscores, the substitute player must be in the team's roster under (S) for substitute. Go to the "TEAMS" function; your team roster is listed on the left of your screen. On the right of your screen is the list of players belonging to your club. Find the player and slide her to the left with the "SUB" arrow. Her CRA factor is now available to the captain and co-captain; she is now on the team list when the receiving captain adds the scores. The most important, now Tenniscores can tell you if you are respecting the CRA rule 2.2.6. Remember to verify with the player that she has not subbed 3 times in your level already. See Substituting during the regular season, rule 2.5

Frequently asked questions - How it's done

Default (No-Show) or Tardiness

"How to" when there is a default? This situation happens when players do not show, either by:

  • No-show : The captain previously advised that the line-up was incomplete, therefore no names are entered on courts defaulted.
  • Tardiness: Players are expected to show, names were written on the score sheet and one or both players do not show, these names are to be entered.

Select the team that «won by default» in the drop down menu on the right. Tenniscores will add "default" in the box of the loosing team.
The scores 1-0, 1-0 must be added in order for Tenniscores to give the winners 3 set points for the match.

Tardiness: What to do when a player arrives late?

If a player is more than 15 minutes late, her first set is lost 0-6. For the other sets the score is entered as usual.

This match is included in the statistics of players.

NOTE: If a match is not played because a player never showed, the names of the players are entered in Tenniscores as written on the official  score sheet and the match is entered as lost 0-1, 0-1. In this situation select "team won by default" from the drop down menu.

Retired (injury)

How do you fill in the scorecard in Tenniscores when a player is injured? A retired match is inevitably granted or conceded to the opponents.

The team declared the winner is selected from the drop down menu on the right. Choose «won by retired» or «gagné par retrait». Tenniscores will add a check mark next to the team that won and add "retired" next to the team who retired because of an injury.
The scores must be written as is at the moment of retiring for the losers. For the opponents, the scores must show a win; for example, each set must have a greater number of games for the winners. If the team who concedes led when stopping, they concede the number of games necessary for their opponents to have a majority of games for each set. EX: the score for the losers when stopping was 6-4, 4-2, the score entered becomes 6-4, 4-5 and 0-1.
This match counts in the win % for the winning players only. The CRA is calculated for all four players.

For all levels: In Tenniscores, the abbreviation FRZ (frozen) means that a player is not available to play. The captain oversees this function and can utilize it to identify players that are not available for an extended period of time. See How to do a Frozen player?

FRZ (frozen) for a 5.0 or 5.5 player (level 1):  a 5.0 or 5.5 player can only be labelled as "FRZ" if she is unable to play for at least 8 matches. This player can only be labelled "FRZ" once per season.
A notice of 7 days must be given before a player can be added to or removed from the FRZ list. (AGA2017)
The captain must inform her statistician before declaring a player frozen in Tenniscores.
